Year of the Witch explores a more personal and intuitive approach to seasonal witchcraft, encouraging witches and pagans to create practices that reflect the climate, culture, land, and local spirits where they live rather than following the traditional Wheel of the Year exactly as written.

Temperance Alden explores the origins and traditions of the neo-pagan Wheel of the Year, including celebrations such as Yule, Beltane, Mabon, and Samhain. The book also introduces land-based magick, connecting intuitively with nature and local gods, and the relationship between caring for the land and personal spirituality.
